The St. Isidore Project was founded by two brothers from Northern Virginia who saw a need in their local community. Their desire to live out their faith combined with their knowledge of gardening and interest in sustainable agriculture led them to initiate this project at a single church with the hope of expanding to churches throughout the area.
James has considerable experience managing programs and working with church networks. He currently serves as the Director of Religious Education for St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Purcellville, VA. He also contributes as a writer to various online publications and print magazines. He has a passion for all things outdoors, including hiking, hunting, fishing, and farming. He raises chickens and rabbits for fun and food! His love for good food and outdoor activities, along with his work for the Catholic Church helped to spawn the idea for the St. Isidore Project.
Jon brings his extensive experience in business and sales to the St. Isidore Project. In 2003, he started his own legal services business and grew the business to become a well-respected leader in the field. As president, he was responsible for managing the books, payroll, and a team of employees. He also developed the market strategy, led the client acquisition program, and maintained client relationships. Jon sold his business to a competitor in 2010. Since then, he has brought his proficiency in business sales and negotiation to his work as a sales account executive. His passion for gardening, responsible farming practices, and giving back to his community inspired him to team up with his brother, James, to found the St. Isidore Project.
